Former Wachovia loan officer Andrew Vulpis sentenced 27 January 2012 Andrew Vulpis was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for conspiracy to commit bank fraud. Vulpis was an officer of Wachovia Bank in Tampa when he played a role in 12 residential real estate transactions in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties that involved fraud, a written statement from the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida said. U.S. District Jude Steven Merryday also entered a money judgment of $1.25 million against Vulpis, who forfeited a 2007 Volvo sedan as a substitute asset in partial satisfaction of the money judgment, the statement said...
